[edit] TestFest

As part of TestFest we're organising our second annual phpt test-writing event for up to 18 people. This year will be a full-day event on a Saturday. The purpose of TestFest is to help improve the code coverage of the test suite for the PHP language itself. No experience of phpt tests is required, and the tests are written in PHP.

Where
A room at IBM Southbank which overlooks the River Thames.
When
From 10am to 6pm on May 9th 2009, followed by drinks at a nearby pub. A packed lunch and hot drinks will be provided during the day.
Aim
By the end of the evening, everyone who attends will have written at least one test.
Focus
All our tests will relate to the Standard PHP Library. We'll be hosting a talk about SPL at our regular monthly meeting on May 7th 2009.
What you need
Your own laptop (whatever operating system you like) with a Subversion client and a text editor installed.
What we'll provide
Subversion repository containing PHP source including the tests, access to documentation, hot drinks and biscuits, and experienced test writers who will mentor attendees.
